Benjamin Čaušević was born in 1994 in Zagreb, Croatia. After finishing his studies at the Academy of Music in Zagreb in the class of professor Darko Petrinjak, he continued his education at the Academy of Music in Poznan Poland with professor Łukasz Kuropaczewski, graduating in 2019. He is the winner of many awards at international competitions and festivals: the HDGPP Croatian State Competition in Dubrovnik, the Split Guitar Festival, the Sarajevo Guitar Festival, the Murska Sobota Guitar Festival, Slovenia, the International Guitar Competition Githarophilia, Germany, the Niksic Guitar Festival, Montenegro, the Peja Guitar Festival, Kosovo, the Andres Segovia Competition, Germany,  the Enrico Mercatali Competition in Gorizia, Italy,  the Fernando Sor Competition, Rome, the Baltik Guitar Days in Szczecin, Poland, and the International Guitar Competition Rust, Austria.

At the age of 16, the Croatian Academic Society awarded him a concert performance in the series Young Talents of Croatia. He has performed in Croatia, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Germany, and Poland. He attended seminars with Zoran Dukić, Ana Vidović, Scott Tennant, Flavio Sala, John Dearman, Ivo Kalchev, Mathew Greif, Pavel Steidel, Maximo Diego Pujol and Judicaell Perroy. Currently, he studies at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz in Austria in the class of professor Łukasz Kuropaczewski.
