Born in Seoul in 1987, Jaemin Lim earned his Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Performance from the Seoul National University in 2018 under the guidance of Won-kyoung Heo. He has won numerous prizes at national and international guitar competitions, such as 1^st prize at the 21st Korea Music Association International Student Competition, 2^nd prize at the 14th Seoul Baroque Ensemble’s National Music Competition and third prize at the 7th Kookmin Ilbo Yeongsan Art Hall Chamber Music Competition. He was a finalist in the 2019 Adelaide International Classical Guitar Competition and a semifinalist at the 59th Tokyo International Guitar Competition. Furthermore, he won the excellence prize at the 14th Universal Chamber Music Competition.

Over the past three years, Jaemin Lim has performed concerts at the Korea Guitar Association, the Asian Composers League, the Asia Quartet Day, the One Month Festival, the Yonsei University, the Viva Guitar Duo Concert (Busan) and the year-end Golbang concert.
